Fam Trip 2019: 7 international tour operators discovered accessible Tuscany

A trip made to discover the accessible Tuscany, from Florence to Maremma, has involved 7 international tour operators: it’s the Fam (Familiarization) Trip organized from the 11th to the 14th of April by Accessible Tourism.

Since 2015 Accessible Tourism is specialized in incoming accessible travels involving people with physical, sensorial and intellectual-relational disabilities.

Every spring it organizes a private trip for the main international tour operators involved in accessible tourism, in order to let them discovering accessible hotels and services in Italy.
This year they decided to invite 7 tour operators coming from Germany (Accamino Reisen, BSK Reisen and Runa Reisen), India (Cox & Kings – Enabletravel), United Kingdoms (Enable Holidays), Argentina (Soles Viajes) and Denmark (Sustravel).

The Fam Trip 2019 starts from the city of Florence, where they visit some hotels, restaurants and made a particular touchable tour in “Opera del Duomo” Museum.
Afterward the group went along the tuscany coast, they visited camping and some typical places as Rocchette, Follonica and the famous Petra winery in Val di Cornia.
Pisa was the third destination, with the stunning Piazza dei Miracoli.

At the end, they came back to Florence visiting Piazzale Michelangelo, where they had the pleasure to meet the Florence’s mayor, Dario Nardella and the Sport Councilor, Andrea Vannucci, in occasion of the event “Gran Fondo di Ciclismo”.

It’s a really thoughtful region in regard to this type of tourism and we know the local accessible facilities: the Fam Trip objective is to allow our partners discover the surroundings in order to let them organize perfect tailor-made travel packages for their clients”.
